English Translation: Seven - Thousandths's of a Tael Powder
Formula Type: Invigorate the Blood and Dispel Blood Stasis in the Treatment of Traumatic Injury
Actions: Invigorates the blood, dispels blood stasis, promotes the movement of qi, reduces swelling, & alleviates pain & bleeding.
Indications: Bruising, swelling, & pain accompanying traumatic injuries such as broken bones & torn sinews, & bleeding due to laceration.
Contraindications: Because this formula contains ingredients that both move & expel, it may consume the qi & induce abortion. It is therefore contraindicated during pregnancy.

CautionsContraindicated during pregnancy, & in cases of yin deficient hot blood patterns. Do not use in the absence of blood stasis. Toxicity: Internal ingestion of xue jie has been associated in one case with angioedema. This patient then skin-tested positive for sensitivity to the substance & was thereafter successfully desensitized. |
