English Translation: Galangal and Cyperus Pill
Formula Type: Promote the Movement of Qi
Actions: Warms the middle burner, dispels cold, promotes the movement of qi, & alleviates pain.
Indications: Epigastric pain that responds favorably to warmth, a stifling sensation in the chest, hypochondriac pain, painful menstruation, & a white tongue coating.
Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with heat in the Liver & Stomach, or where there is bleeding. Also contraindicated during pregnancy as it enter the Liver, Somtach, & eight extraordinary vessels where its strong qi-moving properties may induce miscarriage.
