Actions

1. Stabilizes the Kidneys & retains the essence: for spermatorrhea, urinary incontinence, & vaginal discharge due to to deficinecy & instability of the lower burner. Its astringent & binding actions are also used for prolapsed rectum or uterus as well as excessive uterine bleeding.

2. Binds up the Intestines & stops diarrhea: for chronic diarrhea & dysenteric disorders.

Cautions

Contraindicated in patterns due to excess pathogenic influences, especially heat. Overdose or long-term use may cause such side effects as abdominal pain or constipation.
