Taste: Salty • Temperature: Cold • Category: Regulate Blood • Sub Category: Invigorate Blood

Dosage

3-6g; 6g ground up with 3g of table salt for numb & swollen tongue locally, 1-1.5g of powder for acute lumbar strain

Actions

1. Breaks up & drives out blood stasis: for a wide variety of disorders due to blood stasis inlcuding abdominal masses & amenorrhea. Also for a numb & swollen tongue due to blood stasis.

2. Renews sinews & joins bones: for lacerations, contusions, fractures. Toasted & ground into a powder, it is used for acute lumbar strain.

Cautions

Contraindicated during pregnancy. Toxic.
