Actions

1. Clears heat & toxin, reduces swellings & abscesses: for Lung abscess or Lung heat cough with expectoration of thick, yellow-green sputum.

2. Relieves toxicity & expels pus: for toxic sores, internally & topically.

3. Drains damp-heat & promotes urination: for Large Intestine damp-heat diarrhea or damp-heat in the lower burner with painful urinary dysfunction.

Contraindicated in cases of cold from deficiency, & for yin furuncles.
